Douglas Park

Douglas Park is situated on Irvine Road, just past the BP petrol station, and across from Anderson Memorial Park.

The park has a Bowling Green and Pavillion at the entrance, with delightful flower beds adding decoration. Towards the back of the park, there is the Victorian Garden, which is in full bloom in the Summer months, and this area includes the Burns Garden which was designed by Robert McKay and officially opened by Councillor Sam Gaw on 27th June 1978.

If you take a short walk you will find the Neolithic Tomb, the burial ground of Beaker People, and if you walk further up the steep hills, you will reach the Sundial Viewpoint, with spectacular views of the Clyde and the local area.......
