Largs Museum is run by the Largs & District Historical Society. You will find the museum in Manse Court, which is just off Main Street next to The George public house. The museum is open Monday-Saturday from 2pm-5pm from May until September, and admission is free although donations are welcome. The summer exhibitions change each year, and in addition the museum house a collection of Mauchline Ware, antiques, and archives connected with the famous Brisbane family. |

In addition to this, the Largs & District Historical Society act as keyholders on behalf of Historic Scotland for the Skelmorlie Aisle which is the only remaining part of the Auld Kirk of Largs situated beside the musem, and is the burial crypt of Sir Robert Montgomerie and his wife Dame Margaret Douglas with a beautiful painted ceiling dating back to 1638. In winter, there are various talks and lectures held in the Museum to which members of the Society and visitors to Largs are welcome to attend.
